Privacy Policy

• Most file and text tools process your content locally in your browser.
• We do not intentionally upload, read, or store the files you process with the tools unless a specific feature clearly says it sends data to a server.
• Tool content can still exist temporarily in your browser memory, downloads folder, clipboard, or browser-managed storage depending on how you use your device.

When you submit a form, we store the information needed to respond, understand the report, improve the tools, and protect the site from abuse.

• Contact form: name, email address, subject, message, server-observed IP address, server-observed user agent, status, and server-generated creation time.
• Feedback form: tool name, page URL, feedback text, optional email address, server-observed IP address, server-observed user agent, and server-generated timestamps.
• Bug report form: tool name, page URL, bug description, reproduction steps if provided, optional email address, server-observed IP address, server-observed user agent, status, and server-generated timestamps.

We generate timestamps on the server. We do not rely on client-provided timestamps or client-provided user-agent strings for these records.

• Journey/Mediavine advertising scripts may load ads, measure ad performance, fight fraud, cap frequency, and personalize ads where allowed.
• Grow/Faves may provide save/favorite or audience features and may use cookies or similar identifiers.
• Umami analytics is used to understand site traffic and page usage.
• Google Analytics is used to measure visits and site usage.
• Vercel Speed Insights is used to understand page performance and Core Web Vitals-style measurements.

These services may receive information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser details, identifiers, referrer URLs, ad interactions, and performance measurements. They do not need your uploaded file contents to provide these services.

• The site itself does not intentionally store your uploaded file contents in cookies or local storage.
• Advertising, analytics, and embedded third-party scripts may set cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar identifiers.
• Your browser may store normal technical data such as cache files, downloads, autofill values, and clipboard contents outside our control.

You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking some third-party storage may affect ads, analytics, saved/favorite features, or other embedded services.

Journey/Mediavine and advertising partners may use cookies, identifiers, and browsing activity to personalize ads, measure ads, prevent fraud, and manage ad delivery. Depending on your location, this may be considered targeted advertising, sharing, or a sale of personal information under some privacy laws.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and Google's Ad Settings. Browser privacy controls, cookie blocking, and device-level ad settings may also limit personalization.

If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, you may send a request to jsontools.web@gmail.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." We will use the information you provide only to process the request.

Because ad and analytics choices often depend on browser or device identifiers, use the opt-out links and browser controls listed above on each browser/device you use.

• Contact form records are normally retained for up to 24 months so we can respond, track unresolved requests, and protect the site from abuse.
• Feedback and bug-report records are normally retained for up to 24 months after review or resolution so we can improve tools and prevent duplicate issues.
• Security, abuse, and rate-limit logs may be retained for up to 12 months unless we need them longer to investigate abuse, fraud, legal claims, or site security incidents.
• Third-party vendors keep data according to their own privacy policies and retention rules.

To request access, deletion, correction, or opt out, email jsontools.web@gmail.com. Include enough information for us to find the record, such as the email address used in the form and the approximate submission date.

• Ask what personal information we have associated with your email address.
• Ask us to delete contact, feedback, or bug-report records associated with your email address, unless we need to keep limited records for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
• Opt out of personalized advertising where available.
• Use a Do Not Sell/Share request if you are in a jurisdiction where ad personalization or cross-context advertising may count as a sale or sharing of personal information.

We use HTTPS for site traffic. Public write APIs use request-size limits, server-side validation, rate limiting, honeypot bot checks, and abuse logging. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so avoid submitting secrets, passwords, API keys, private files, or sensitive personal data through public forms.
